Street Maintenance Supervisor
The Town of Truckee is looking for a motivated and reliable team member with good communication skills for the Street Maintenance Supervisor. This position plans, organizes, directs and supervises the work of staff involved in the maintenance of streets and snow removal activities for the Town. The position requires a Class B driver’s license, and possession of, or ability to obtain, required endorsements as a condition of passing probation. A Class A is required within 12 months of hire.
To plan, organize, direct and supervise the work of staff involved in the maintenance of streets and snow removal activities; to ensure activities are performed in a safe manner; to coordinate and participate in the inspection of public works infrastructure projects and private development; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. The classification requires the incumbent to supervise the maintenance of streets and removal of snow during the winter months and coordinate and participate in construction inspection activities during the summer months.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives general direction from the Street Maintenance Manager and an assigned Engineer. Exercises direct supervision over maintenance staff and seasonal employees and coordinates
the work of outside contractors.
