Job Profile for Southeast Iowa Union (Mt. Pleasant) Customer Service
Job Summary
Full-time position. Provides quality customer care and staff support to promote efficient and timely service to our customers.
Job Responsibility
- Answer phones and assist callers when able, or redirect to appropriate staff member.
- Assist customers who walk in our office with advertising, payments, subscriptions, general questions and/or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
- Assist walk-in and call-in customers with placing liner ads
- Assist the Circulation Manager with subscription and distribution questions and issues
- Process and distribute mail to the appropriate people / departments
- Coordinates advertising and customer services to ensure proper flow of information and preparation of advertising orders. Inputs copy into order entry system.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned/needed.
Job Skills & Attr
Ability to type 40-50 WPM accurately. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point. Strong English language skills (grammar, spelling, punctuation.) Strong organizational, initiative and time management skills, conscientious and attentive to detail. Project pleasant voice, positive manner and professional attitude. Strong customer orientation. Ability to work within specified timetables and deadlines and to multi-task and prioritize.
