Accounting Technician
The Accounting Technician performs a variety of clerical and accounting support functions for the accounting department. Tasks in this role varies based upon assignment to include routine reconciliations, processing claims and invoices, reviewing transactions for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations and other administrative duties. Additional responsibilities include: entering A/P expense reports into accounting system, performs account reconciliations for various accounts, performs vendor account analysis and maintains vendor records, updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions; applies Sales & Use Tax method as required; researches and resolves discrepancies; ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices; maintains an orderly filing system.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred; 3 years office bookkeeping, accounting or A/P experience required; Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; Must be able to perform basic match and carry out written instructions.
