Executive Assistant
Solano Irrigation District accepting applications for: Executive Assistant - $5,733 $6,964 /momth - based on experience. Under general supervision, plans, organizes, supervises and coordinates the activities of the executive services function within the General Manager's Office, including administrative support to the Board of Directors; coordinates and maintains official District documents and records; coordinates activities with other departments and divisions; and provides highly complex and diverse assistance to the General Manager. This position is responsible for preparing the Board of Directors agenda packet, minutes and meeting notices. This position differs from other support classes by its responsibility for providing direct support to the General Manager and Board of Directors on District-wide issues. Assignments from the General Manager may be quite varied in scope and include data gathering, analysis, and writing projects as well as responsible and confidential administrative support tasks. Support for the Board of Directors focuses on their meeting notices, agenda packet preparation, and minute preparation requirements. Position may assist with the District Social Media and website presence. This position reports to and serves "at will" to the General Manager and does not have supervisory experience.
Qualifications: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in providing administrative assistance and executive office support. At least two (2) years experience as a confidential secretary to an administrative official, including the preparation of and distribution of agenda and legal documents such as those utilized by a public agency governing board and graduation from high school or equivalent. Continued maintenance of a valid California Driver's License and the ability to be insured for the operation of a vehicle/District vehicle in accordance with the terms and conditions of the District's insurance program are conditions of continuing employment.
