Retail Help Wanted
PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting with the operation of Second ACT Thrift Store. Responsibilities include working with staff and volunteers, sales, merchandising, customer service, sorting, pricing and general appearance and condition.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for sorting and distribution of donations
- Hanging and pricing of donations
- Responsible for the overall appearance and cleaning procedures per agency guidelines.
- Maintain security procedures to minimize theft per agency guidelines.
- Maintain store layouts and displays to enhance sales per agency guidelines.
- Work with customers
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
- Work with staff and volunteers as a team.
- Responsible for implementation of fiscal controls and procedures per agency guidelines when closing out at night.
- Insure accurate cash management on a daily basis during work hours.
- Excellent Customer Service
Position requires an energetic, independent, self-motivated individual who possesses strong management and organizational skills. Position requires organizing, planning and excellent customer service skills to maintain good standing in the community. Position also requires the ability to structure time. Individual must be cooperative and tactful, and relate well to all types of people.to perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
