To support the English Department by providing administrative support to the chair, associate chairs, program directors, and other program support technicians. To serve as the primary receptionist who answers department phones and emails, monitors office supplies, oversees essential copying/printing services, schedules meetings, and assists faculty, students, and visitors with issues.
Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe. Demonstrated strong keyboarding skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while multi-tasking. Demonstrated ability to perform in a professional manner in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines when completing shared office tasks. Some prior secretarial/administrative support experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of training and experience indicating knowledge of academic programs, client service and office management experience, preferably in an institution of higher education. Familiarity with Banner. High School graduate or equivalent.
