Iron Cumberland Mine, an underground coal mine located in Waynesburg, PA is accepting resumes for the position of underground Chief Mine Engineer.

The successful candidates primary responsibilities are to direct all engineering designs and activities of the mine and to forecast and develop short and long term mine plans and budgets as they relate to production, development, planning, legal compliance, safety and environmental requirements for Cumberland Mine, preparation Plant and associated areas.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides engineering support, designs, and coordination of project management.
Directs, designs, and implements all correspondence with the regulatory agencies of MSHA, and PA DEP.
Supervises the engineering department staff.
Determines and establishes the short and long term mine budget and mine plans for the mine.
Ensure the timely, accurate development and filing of required mining permits and approvals
Monitor on-going production and construction activities as they relate to the mine plan.
Develops the operating and capital budgets for the short and long term mine plans.
Designs and implements roof control and ventilation plan.
Develops specifications for mining and support equipment.
Works with underground department in coordination of mining, projects, problems, equipment purchases, supplies and other underground
aspects.

We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished professional with a bachelors degree in mine engineering. Qualified applicant must have at least ten (10) years experience in an underground mining environment.
