Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for communicating with customers, scheduling publication print deadlines, working with production staff to achieve on-time customer deliveries, and performing a variety of additional activities to facilitate excellent customer relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Interacts with both customers and sales staff to provide support and information on print products, scheduling, and other services.
Schedules printing, bindery, mailing, and delivery with all departments to meet customer deadlines.
Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
Compiles monthly print costs for all customers and submits to accounting for billing.
Preparation and packaging of customer mail and UPS copies.
Follows up with all departments to assure jobs are completed as requested by customer.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills.
Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Quick thinking, assessing, and resolution skills
Familiar with technology including Microsoft Word and Excel
Able to grasp new concepts quickly
Strong typing skills
Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Knowledge of newspaper and printing concepts helpful, but not required.
Customer service experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
