Bending Technician
Coast Personnel Services is looking for detail oriented and dedicated Bending Technician for a well-established client for their Fremont, CA location.
2nd shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Job Purpose:
The Bending Operator knows the different parts and functions of the bending machines. Checks and inspects the quality of incoming parts before forming in terms of stains, bumps, burrs or wastes, watching carefully that each part meets the allowed standards to avoid failures and breakdowns in the operation. Knows the use of measuring instruments. Is responsible for meeting cleaning and 5´s requirements for the area including machines.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review drawings for special instructions such as sequencing, forming and other details prior to starting the job.
- Inspect work received from the previous operation and inspect again before moving completed work to the next operation.
- Utilize set-up sheets to set up mechanical brake with appropriate tooling.
- Use the mechanical brake to bend punched or laser cut parts according to customer specifications.
- Coordinate the brake workload between shifts
- Operates Amada brake machine.
Education and Experience:
- Requires a minimum of 4- 6 years previous press brake experience
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Must be able to run prototype and production and do own set ups.
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints or plans for the finished product.
- Check the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
- Complete and maintain paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
