Senior DevSecOps Engineer
The Challenge
Circadence is looking for enthusiastic and motivated engineers who want to build the premier cybersecurity learning platform of the future. We are a diverse and growing engineering team pushing the limits of the cloud systems. We are building a SaaS platform with a modern backend stack (Golang microservices, gRPC, NoSQL, Terraform, Kubernetes) and frontend stack (React).
Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer will be part of a dedicated team consisting of DevOps, SRE, and IT engineers building and working on enterprise grade software systems. You will build, secure, test, integrate, deploy, release, operate and monitor in a “you build it, you run it” team. Ideal candidates will have a desire for and experience in balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt.

Responsibilities
- Exhibit agile & DevOps values in a self-organizing team.

- Collaborate with other developers to plan, design, and develop applications.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Minimum experience and qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 4+ years designing and developing enterprise grade software
- 2+ years of team software development
Core Competencies
- Experience with cloud based global deployment strategies and patterns
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience with secret/certificate management systems such as HashiCorp Vault or Azure Keyvault
- Experience with designing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation such as Terraform
- Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments such as Azure DevOps or Github/Github Actions
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience with agile development methodologies & Scrum
- Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
- Comprehensive understanding of microservice application development techniques, best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns
- Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
Desired Experience and Skills
- 1+ years of software support in a role like Site Reliability\DevOps Engineering
- Experience with type-safe backend languages like Go, Rust, and C#
- Experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies like MongoDB and PostgresSQL
- Experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS & SaaS like Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Experience with configuration management software like SaltStack, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React

The benefits of working at Circadence
Compensation negotiable, depending on level of experience - $145,000 - $165,000.
